Long Week-end fun

Hope everyone here in Canada had a great long week end. I was fortunate to be invited to a friends country house about 45min. from Montreal. Having lived in a city my entire life, I was sure public transportation, late night take out and crowded neighborhoods were for me. This place made me want two lives, city life AND country life. It was so nice to breath real fresh air! All week end I was picturing where I would put my sewing machine. It would be the prefect getaway spot to get some sewing done with out any distractions. One day, country house is now on my list of things to do.

The Perfect Couple

This week I have been all about new designs and new inspiration. Two things that I have been doing to jump start this... 1. Sketching & Sewing- Just sitting down and making what ever comes into my head, not thinking about it to much. I usually create my best work when I am not trying to figure out what everyone else would want. 2. Reading- I have been reading up on many classic designers of past and present. NEW BAGS. On the left are a few new wristlets. Hand printed canvas combined with bright leather makes these bags a prefect comanion to any party. More details soon. On the right is a remake of an old classic. A year ago I made Amina. She was really popular, I still get orders for her today. But I must say, she was huge!! I always wanted to have a everyday version, something a little smaller. So I combined many design elements from the original and add a few new features to make her great for everyday. For all you ladies who love a huge bag... not to worry, I will be adding a larger travel version soon.
